R32 seats in a mk3

Got myself some R32 seats (F~+*in nice)

anyone tryed to fit them to a mk3?

Whats the chance of getting them in?

I made s2000 seats fit my crx like a glove, fingas X'd

Any advise or comments welcome

ok this is a bit of a long-winded effort but it should make sense... hopefully.....

me and a mate tried his mk2 golf seats and frames against my mk3 ibiza runners, and they looked like they would fit....

....and i know you have to make custom frames or bolt in new subframes if you want to put mk4 golf seats in a mk2 golf, cos another mate of mine did this...

....so it would stand to reason that mk4 golf seats will not fit into a mk3 ibiza without welding up your own frames...

hope that makes some sense!

you got the bench seat from the R32 as well mate? if you have then are you gonna whack the foam and material on your ibiza bench frames?!

The r32 seats are konigs and konig do tailored sub frames for every car so ur best bet would be to get in touch with them

Was just about to say that. Same with recaro's. Wonder whether the seats themselves are just a bit too wide for the car (maybe the bolsters will be pressed in by the door?) Would be interested to know how you do though because i fancy some S3's in mine

I know you can put A3's/S3's in a MK2 Golf, and you can also put a MK3 Ibiza interior into a MK2 Golf. So i'd expect that it should work the other way...if that makes sense Measured the rear bench in a customers S3 (with his permission ) and then against mine, seems a bit wider on the S3

I know that MK4 golf seats just fit in there and that mk4 and r32's fit in the leon so the only real issue i can see is the wings hitting the roof or pillars?

Did you get the grey or black ones? How much did they cost you, if you dont mind me asking

I don't know anything about this really but I would think you would struggle with the rear bench.. the fronts can be made to fit if you have the cash..

You could consider the fronts only but with a rear bench retrim to match maybe..

im looking to get some recaro speeds in black with silver alcan centres, and get some alcan cloth to match to retrim the rear bentch centres to match

just if recaro dont make frames was going to make some myself, with the help of a made who can weld

i reckon the R32 seats are far to wide...theyre f'kin huge!!
i had a look at fitting mk4 recaros and they are much beefier than cupra seats which are rather in comparison

squashing them in is one thing, sliding them is another! iv found theres FA leg room in the rear with standard seats (im 5'11) R32 seats will limit it even more so dont offer any taxi rides for more than a front passenger!

in which case u may as well do away with the rear bench...save some weight
