Can't imagine for a minute:

a) The pipe will be anywhere close to the same diameter (if you have OE pipes at present) - hence if there was a minimal chance it would fit, you'd have to cut and shut to fit the shorter wheelbase for the whole thing.

b) The R32 pipework will be built to avoid Haldex system so may not route under your car correctly. Is it Mk5 or Mk4 R32 exhaust?

I agree with Warren, it may seem a bargain, but it will be a complete waste of money IMO. If you are wanting an R32 style exhaust then i'd look towards getting a custom one done.

Its a Mk5 R32, do you reckon i am best of just getting a total custom exhaust?

Yup. Mk5 R32 is centre exit which wont go under your boot floor. The R32 exhaust on the Mk5 has to pass between the independent rear axles and straight under the elevated boot floor (haldex cars like the R32 / S3 have much shallower boots than 2 wheel drive versions).

Hence on that you'll have to go custom route I'm afraid. Ian Birch at Dubsport once made me a custom exhaust for a Mk2 Jetta GTi 1.9 Donnington install using bits of Blueflame Corrado pipework and some deft touches. Wasn't horribly expensive if I remember right.

Birchy is running Pipewerx near Wigan now, spot on work and can do pretty much whatever your after :)

Hmmm, interesting to know. Back in the 90's he was building twin engined Vr6's and VR6 Lupo's so gave him my knackered Jetta to rebuild, but in OE stealth mode rather than his usual antics! One rebuilt 1.9 unit later, and a custom exhaust with Weitec TX Sport kit I was back on the road for about a month. Then I blew the gearbox apart on the M40 in Oxford  (Photo is pre-Dubsport as it was awaiting collection on tow truck).

I thought about fitting a Mk5 R32 rear box to my Ibiza and re-routing the pipes, but it would have been loads of hassle as the spare wheel well would have to be cut out and a new boot floor made.

Much easier to get a custom exhaust made, which is what I did in the end :D

Altech, i took my car to powerflow yesterday and they said that my 2005 rear bumper is level with the boot floor meaning that i can't get the exhaust to to sit behined the bumoer like yours and then have it cut out so its sits in the bumper, is the cupra bumper you have on your car longer and lower??

The Cupra/FR rear bumper does have more room inside to house the exhaust. I reckon I could get my old pre-facelift bumper to fit, but it would need a lot of cutting! As it is I had to remove quite a bit from the Cupra/FR bumper to get it to fit. It is a very tight fit especially seeing as the pipe diameter is 2.5" with 3.5" tips.

There are some more pics in my readers ride thread showing the exhaust without the bumper attached.
