A friend purchased a cold air induction kit a while ago but never got round to fitting it so i bought it off him, only thing is i don't really know a great deal about cars and no instructions were supplied.

I've managed to get the main cone and pipe fitted but im left with a blue silicone pipe and a small filter, can you tell me where these go?

thanks in advance.

(sorry can't post it as a picture due to lack of posts)

im guessing its a universal type? as replacements are simply replace hoses where they use to go...

first up what engine do you have?

just had a look on ebay and google but cant find anything to show where it exactly goes.

i have a cupra 180 AUQ engine i believe, i do have a spare pipe that originally went in to the side of the airbox and also have a part on the pipe where i can connect the spare hose to but if i do that i have the small filter left.

That pipe that used to go to your airbox (secondary air thingy-magigy) needs the small filter on it :)

So i connect the blue silicone pipe to the spare pipe that originally went in to the airbox and then connect the filter to the other end?

If i do that ill have a spare outlet pipe on the actual chrome cold air feed pipe is that ok?

kinda hard to explain without a picture, need to get to 15 posts :)

image of the kit is below

You can attach the small filter directly onto that other pipe which came out your air box. I can with mine anyway.

Dunno what you mean about spare outlet on the chrome pipe or what that is for.

if you look at the image link i pasted above you will see another outlet on the actual chrome pipe, not sure if i need to use it or not.

but if you say the filter goes to the spare pipe thats good enough for me, thanks for your help.

Just a quick update.

All pipes are now fitted and everything seems to be fine, can't believe the sound difference especially the 'wooosshhhhh' when changing gear.

Thanks all for your help again :)
