I was thinking about having a section for the project car threads

clearly it's hard to define what a project is, but I'm guessing a fabia wiper and some new wheels might not quite cut it

was thinking things like robdon's thread, Icemans gay blue cordie, the s/charged ibiza thread etc

i like the idea

i dont think it would be too bad with the odd post for small mods aslong as the person continued to update their original thread and wasn't posting a new thread every time

sw-cc.com have a similar section, Philw for example has been updating his project thread for ages, documenting each and every little thing he has done, from all his bling to his brakes and all the problems he has faced

Would be good to have threads where people other than the OP can't actually reply in them, sort of like a car project diary for those who are undertaking a lot of work. Would also be good as an easy to browse reference section for those looking purely for info?

would be a good idea even just as a 'reference point' for mods in general,.. even for the new influx of Euro-ness even if only to keep it all in one box as it were ?

Sounds like a good idea to me (older and wiser eh?) Not sure about other people not being able to post, as questions often get asked and answered.

I must admit, posts that just say "looking good" or threads that descend into "what are you doing on Tuesday?" spoil project threads IMHO. Would it possible for the thread starter/owner to have admit rights to only those threads in the projects section so they can keep them clean?
