Hey folks - finally got enough posts to allow me to post pictures so here's my humble build thread,

i have a 54 plate Ibiza TDi 130 FR

got it in Feb 08 as a kind of sensible car that wouldn't bore me to tears with it's dullness - i guess i succeded as i still love it after those 2 and a half years :D

it's had a few looks in the years i've had it and although i know that some of the looks won't be to everyones taste and/or people will not approve as it's not considered the normal route with a mk4 i hope that some of you will enjoy it as much as i do :p

anyway enough rambling and onto the pictures - comments and criticisms welcome

as i got it - looking all shiny and high as a truck :O

first major change was for Edition 38 2008

sourced a LHD taillight to lose reverse light for symmetry,
V-maxx coilovers wound right down / no adjusters at rear,
Rear badges removed,
Front Grille / Badge & Foglight Trims sprayed gloss Black,
Leon Cupra R splitter (not fitted in Pics)

and the most in your face mod :

The Colour coded 16" Beetle steelies.

MOT time meant new tyres and a slightly higher ride height -

unfortuantely due to a mishap whilst fitting tyres some thinners were spilt onto one of my back wheels :(

making the best of a bad situation i matt blacked the centres of the steels

thanks mate - i'm kinda holding back all the updates as there is still many more - didn't want to just fire all of them in one go - stay tuned for a few more updates as it looks nothing like this now lol

Taking away those 16" alloys and putting on steelies was quite a bold move and definately not to everyone's taste! If that's a compliment or a criticism... well that's down to the individual really!

I think you should stick with that yellow theme, make it really stand out from the crowd!

Yellow steelies too far..?

I really like the Golf/Polo rear wiper arm on there, it sets the back end off nicely.

thanks for all your comments guys - i'm posting this retrospectively so it's kinda nice to see which stages of the car were best recieved :)

anyway - february 09 and the beeza was due another set of tyres which took me to 3/4 full sets in the year i'd owned it - poor tracking and a serious lack of places able to do it as low as it is mean a set never last very long  luckily i managed to track down another set of wheels with brand new tyres from a mate who sold me them for the same price the tyres cost him :funk:

17" santa monicas powdercoated black (well 2 were - the other two had been rattlecanned fluro green )

the green was a bit far even for me but as i got the wheels so cheap i actually didn't care

apart from some small rubbing on my wings due to the 205/40's it was all good for a few months
