Hey Guys.
I got a spare key from a dealer and was told that it needs to be programmed so I took the car in to get it done.
After 2 hours of waiting about i was told that they couldnt program my new key.
They said that they got the code from spain but the key wouldn't take it. This was done at my local VW/Seat dealer in north wales.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

if you have right transponder inside it is easy - if you want to programm the buttoms. but if you havn't got the transponder or you want brand new one you need special number from factory, it was given with keys. look at the mk3 section FLIP KEY ;)

The dealer have had the code from spain by fax, but it sill wont work. could the car have had a new ECU? would that make a difference? Or is it the dealers just being crap?? They haven't got the best record of being helpful or any good at their job.
