problems with radio system

i am having problems with the radio system. i changed from band to rds but now when i tried to go back to band, it is giving me changer (i do not have a cd changer in the car). i have been trying for a couple of days now, but no result. anyone can help? i am going overland drive with it, so it is quite urgent.

disconnect the battery for 5 mins, thatll reset it back to fm but you will need to re enter your stations (and code possibly)

be carefull with disconnecting the battery mate cos that might upset the central locking and stuff aswell.
