problem with hids

Right fitted my hids and ive got two problems.......

1) The clocks go crazy on startup (the usual)

2) when i just have my sidelights on the HIDs flicker on and off

For some strange reason im getting some voltage down the dipped headlight wire when just the sidelights are on.

How do i solve these two problems???

could there be a wire worn through and touching another wire?

no ive checked the switch and it seems fine!

Someone who has had problems with hids must have fixed it????????????

the power wire you have running to the dip beam i think you need to run into a relay... Use that as an input wire to the relay and then run a constant earth (fused) from the battery to the relay and earth and then wire the output of the relay to the lights... that way the HIDs are effectively running off the battery as opposed to the lighting circuit, controlled by the usual switch in the dash

right i will have to try this can i use one relay for both lights???

I understand that this will help my dial issues as the power is normally shared between the ligts and dash etc whereas wiring up via relay will get power direct from battery. However, will this fix the whole sideight issue i have??
