Problem with Accelerator Position Sensor

Hi all

Had a intermittant problem the other day just driving as normal and the engine protection light comes on and the car loses boost, swiched it off and on everything is normal again no weird noises happy driving and then it happens again at traffic lights under light throttle, i got her to my misses house and left her to sit for a couple of hours. I got back in for the drive home a good 70 miles and the engine light never came back on and most of it was at steady speed on the motorway.

a few days passed no problems and then it happened again today at trafic lights, i got her home and vagcom showed the below error.

thinking its gotto to have somthing todo with the accel pedal i touched the wires come out of the plug above the pedal jiggled it and the engine protection lights turned off!

Does this mean the plug just needs a clean or a new sensor?

Looks like a faulty throttle pedal to me as its comparing the values between two internal potentiometers.
I may be wrong.

How much would it cost to replace? it looks easy enough to replace

Think a pedal is about £70 and you could fit it yourself its only 1 bolt and 1 plug would only take 5 minutes.

I had the exact same problem two days after picking up my 08 FR diesel.
It was back in the garage for a full day that also involved a 60 mile 'test' drive!
All they said was that the Pot had gone. It was under warranty luckily.
