Look down the back of the engine on the blukhead and you'll see a rubber grommet - follow the wires and cables to find it. Get a chopstick or something and use it to help feed the wire through from the battery, then get under the dash and retrieve the other end. Sorted
Its a tight fit, but there's actually quite a big hole under the grommet, its just tight to stop water getting through I guess. I had to put a little slit in mine to get the cable through, and that was only a low gauge one
I removed one of the bolts from a plate covering the bulkhead and fed the power cable through there. Dunno whether that was stupid or not, but had no trouble / leaks for the last 15 months since fitting.
