What does everyone think to one of THESE?

Feedback seems very good with a range of VAG cars been done.

Just never heard of a company that you send your ECU off to and they remap it and send it back. Just not sure if can be trusted? It is only £99, so tempting!

Or is it one of those to good to be true things?

If you remove and send the ecu you are reducing the labour costs usually involved with the tuning of your car so making the tuning more affordable.

They do it through the OBD port anyway, so no labour costs are involved, what twoddle!!!

Have a read of that. Bit long winded but basically sent an ECU away for a 'remap' few days later car then wouldnt start, the remap had caused a checksum error internally in the ECU as they had stuffed something up and left him pretty much stranded, then denied all responsibility...

They way I see it, personally, you pays your money... (especially with VAG tuning!) I would rather spend a bit extra on reputable parts/remaps etc and know that it wont cause any further grief

EDIT: Wont let me post the URL so you ned to take the spaces out at the start...

Cheers for the info,

I'll definitley be avoiding that then. I'll just have to stick to saving up my pennies for a decent remap.
