Post Count

Never logged it that much but sure my post count is inacurate. It seems to not go up sometimes and today its 30-40 less than yesterday?

dependant on where you post (certain sections dont register towards postcount) and if the server has updated/whether theres been a clean up or anything since last time you posted can all have a 'say' in your postcount.

So why did i loose 40 post counts last week? Anyone? Could i have used a mild word and been penalised?

No, as said, there was most likely an update or a clean up and you (along with everyone else , but no one else has either noticed *or isnt a post wh0re * ) have lost postcount, hell , If everything I had ever posted here was counted, I'd be up into the millions by now!!

Post count here is irrelevant anyway. Once you've passed the newbie stage of 15 (IIRC) it makes no odds whether you have 20 or 20,000.

As Brummy says some areas do not get logged toward your post count. So regardless of how many times you post there they won't be counted. Some sections are purged periodically of old or irrelevant posts.

Its nothing personal, I even lose some of my post count. Its about good database management clearing out the stuff just taking up space and slowing the server search queries down.
