Possible MAF Issues??

Posted this origionaly in the MK3 section but thought here would be more appripriate! I dont know if there is a problem atall, just feelis a little sluggish! Serivce is due but i found out how to test the maf, just dont know how to read the results!!


Just done a little log with VAGCOM, the first row being RPM, second being Requested MAF and the third being Actual MAF:

Now this looks to me like the MAF is failing but i dont know! The Ross-Tech site said to hit it hard in 4th gear but i cant do that with traffic around, is that why it reads low?? Might be worth mentioning the car has had a custom remap if that means anything!!

Its on a Ibiza TDi Sport running approx 180 BHP on a Golf GTTDI Turbo

Any help appriciated!

well i unpluggd the maf and the car idled a bit smoother, low boost but much smoother! I bought a new maf and now the car is a lot more responsive! And spins up through 2nd and 3rd! Result!
