i've read on here somewhere that the k04 turbo runs out of puff when power approaches the 300bhp mark and the only way up from there is to bolt on a bigger blower. before i got my LCR i was well into fords and considered buying a cosworth (age of the cars available & insurance soon stopped that!) and there seems to loads of options regarding hybrid turbochargers available to blue oval owners with garrett turbo's.......... is there nothing available like a warmed over k04? sorry if this is a daft question but if i'm going for more power in the near future then i might be saving for an IHI conversion so it would be nice if there were other options.

so if i was to go for the Eliminator GTRS would i need a FMIC to keep the charge temps down and different management or could i get away with just remapping the ecu i have already? how much do those blowers cost? it says that 350bhp is do-able on that link...... is that on standard internals?

yes, intercooler, 3'' dp and exhaust, bigger injectors and a few other bits, turbo is about a grand, then you need fitting etc, id say easy looking at 4 - 5 k

not really a straight swap then? 4-5k isn't that roughly what an IHI big turbo conversion costs?
