Possible Brake Fluid Sensor Fault??

Hi I get the brake fluid light on the speedo beep and flash at me when i accelerate (not all the time) and sometimes when i go around corners! It seems to be doing it more often as ive been keeping an eye on it for a few weeks. Ive checked the brake fluid and topped it up a little more over the max due to my car being very very low i thought it may have been the fluid swoshing about! Ive tested the braking and it seems fine to me!

Any suggestions?

Anybody? Another question related I took off the yellow cap to the brake fluid reservoir which had a sensor connected to it and under the lid had a plunger im guessing the fluid pushes the plunger upwards hitting a kind of switch that relays signals back to the ECU? Am i correct? If so il probably try and give it a good clean! Also the brake fluid is clear? is that right??

might be a faulty sensor had a search and there's loads of posts on the same thing so give the sensor a clean and check for any fault codes with vag com or snap on tool

Got the exact same problem mate. taking it to be servived tomorrow so shall get him to check it all out.

Mine's been doing that a lot recently too.

I topped up the brake fluid and it's been fine since.

Cool ta! I noticed the actual reservoir that attaches to a metal box underneath seems to be flexing/loose is that right?
