I thought the UDM was a cracking piece of kit, especially when you consider it will be £99.95 in the UK complete with backing plate, pad and carry case.
Here was my first impressions of it....
trying to correct with the aid of wet sanding some rather nasty dealer (Audi Huddersfield) induced scratching.
These were caused when they washed it 'free of charge' after a service. I thought it was particularly nice for them to put that in the receipt also
Anyway, here was the damage at the time:
I'd had a quick blast on them a while ago but didn't get very far...
I didn't have as much time as I liked so the aim of the game was to polish just that side of the car and see if I could tackle the more severe marks.
So I masked up, then using Meguiars Wet & Dry 2500 grit sandpaper which had been left to soak for 30mins in a #00 wash mix, I gently worked the worst part of the scratching.
I regularly checked paint depth and in total only removed about 5 microns at the most. Doing that by PC or even rotary would have taken a lot longer thats for sure.
Then out with the UDM using a 5" Menzerna Polishing Pad and Intensive Polish PO85RD3.02 after one hit left the following results.
I then smothered the whole car with Victoria lite cleanse by hand followed with Victoria Concours.
