it should sort it. the original seat radio has an aerial amplifier built in; aftermarket ones don't tend to; so an external one does the job. You need to tap the blue wire into a switched live in the radio harness. Blue wire in the harness will work from memory.

My standard aura unit reception is not the best. Out of interest, if I fitted one of the above amplifiers would it boost the reception too much and have a negative impact?

The signal booster is in the aerial booster itself, not the radio (factory or aftermarket). The factory fitted radio just has an output that sends power up to the booster in the aerial. Aftermarket radios don't do this as not all car aerials have a booster built in. Buy the adapter and it will definately improve your reception :)

If you have the standard aerial with an after market headunit, you need to make sure there is power going to the aerial, as it was standard, or it just wont work, ok it will but it will be a weak signal.

You need to make sure number 5 in the bottom block is getting power from the aftermarket unit
