I'm pretty sure Chrisdaman is running on mk4 Polo coilovers as well. But best wait for him to reply and confirm. All I know is that he found some new coilovers that are selling for about £200 that fit the mk2 Ibiza, and are actually a good bit of kit too.

i've said it again, but here we go

they will physically 'go on' the car, but they're not best suited - they'll be undersprung, under damped & generally not worth fitting.

taking the advice from people (or valuing their opinion) when all they want to do is 'wind it down to the bump stops' is like asking a vegetarian how they like their steak - a waste of time.

I just got some Ibiza Mk2 specific coilovers. The guarantee that came with them shows Ibiza/Polo 6n on the guarantee.... I did buy the Ibiza ones though that were more expensive than the polo ones.

Agree with Mork though, the weight of the engine must be a factor damping wise!

Have a word with Phil on Clubpolo. Can't rate him any higher

hahahaha Not a clue mate. I haven't got the car back from the bodyshop yet.

If it comes back Tomorrow (I'm praying it will as I was supposed to have it on Tuesday) then I'll be fitting the coilovers on the day I especially booked off to fit them!

the mk4 polo ones went straight one, and the EVO warranty says polo 6n/6n2/seat ibiza (93-99)

they're good, i wound mine all the way down, the further you go the harder the ride gets. There's no sign of corrosion (3months now) and i can rate them highly

You never know, maybe that's all that ibizacupra88 will want to do with them anyway. I know that MOST people on here have bought coilovers to lower their car as low as it will go without scrubbing
