The charge pipe has a brushed / textured finish does it !?

You'd need to smooth that off first so some abbrasive sanding is going to be required and then polishing out the sanding marks using wool pads and heavy cut compounds would be the easiest route finishing with a medium cut and a foam pad to refine the finish.

I havent ever needed to do this though so it might be worth having a look at some of the build threads on the readers rides to see if someone else has done it and ask them how.

Yeah it is a little textured i was thinking of going over it with a few grades of wet n dry and then following a pretty comprehensive guide I’ve found im not so worried about the process more about having the correct kit and compounds if anyone can recommend one??

I believe tigertim001 on here has done his charge pipe and inlet manifold, through a lot of hard work and working through the grits using a mouse sander he has achieved a mirror finish on both!

The hardest part from what he has said is smoothing the pitted surface down initially, from then on in you can see a notable improvement with every paper change!

only advice i can give when sanding it to go in opposite directions with each paper grade change... this makes sure you can see when you have sanded through the previous marks and keeps the finish more uniform.

same principal as wet sanding paint on the body
