Took my car to Cheshunt Motors (SEAT) for it's 20k service yesterday. We'd agreed £270 for full inspection service and brake fluid change upfront (they initially quoted £315ish). I didn't think that was bad for a main dealer (my car still has warranty until Dec so didn't want to risk it)

I took the nice looking facelift black 56 1.4 sport as a courtesy car and went to work expecting a phone call with a list of extra stuff that'd need doing. I always used to get that from Fords with my fiesta and they'd make you feel guilty for saying no. No such call.

Got back to garage still expecting extra charges... nope, none £270 as agreed. They said the discs were rusty (aren't they all, even the showroom models were!) and slightly worn but the guy on the service desk insisted that they wouldn't need doing for a while yet. They could have tried it on and insisted they needed changing (I'm sure Fords would have!).
They also said that the radiator was leaking - I was not aware of this at all. But they're doing that under the warranty.

When I picked the car up it had a little package with some Cheshunt motors branded screen wash and WD40. Nice touch.
:D

so all in all I'm pretty happy. I liked the courtesy car though. Makes me want to upgrade - though it didn't have climate like mine - had other nice extras mine doesn't though. And somehow felt more lively - could have been 100ps but it wasn't a DAB so not sure.

I recently bought my Ibiza from Cheshunt Seat Dealership, my contact, a man called Dean was very helpful and his trusty sidekick Peter who was equally as helpful. They gave me a years warrenty, full tank of diesel, full service and access to cheap servicing and parts if i continue using them. Compare this garage to most Seat dealers and you would think that Cheshunt wasnt a Seat Dealership at all.

Had a service and unplanned repairs on the usual door sealing fault. I can't speak highly enough about this place.

There was an issue with my Warranty being on the system incorrect. They have dealt with Seat UK on my behalf and everything is ok.

Had problems with water sitting on the sil of drivers door, sorted this out under warranty but then had water in one of the rear doors a few months later when it was out of warranty. They said they would speak to Seat UK as this is a known problem and recommended that all doors needed to be done. Seat UK agreed to pay for half, still cost me £300 but at least it didn't cost me £600.

Find staff helpful and friendly as this is a family business (only 1 garage) and they even collect and return my car from work and as its a nice middle aged bloke I don't feel worried handing my Cupra R key over to some young boy racer mechanic as I've had to do in the past when I had a peugeot.
