please recommend an oil to use

looking at oil change during this week sometime, done a search on 'which oil' to use and im just so confused all these number w's some people saying one grade another saying another contradicting the other lol!

can someone please recommend an oil to use, and a reason why lol i just want to clear this us and for anyone else in the same situation.

For your power I would stick to the VW recommended grade of 5w-40 and use a good quality fully synth, even ester based brand like Motul 300V, Millers Competition or Silkolene Pro S

Always used 10w 40 from my local partco store when i had the cupra and never had a problem (was changed every 5K tho)

If you cupras mod'd you should be using 10w 40

I heard the same, as you're driving with higher temps you can use slightly thicker oil such as 10w 40. I have used it the last year as well (with regular fresh changes)
