l've spent the last few days sorting out my braking system and this morning (about 15 minutes ago) a mate who was helping me do them has managed to some how put a flat head screwdriver through one of the piston seals on my front Brembo calipers! [:@]

Firstly, does anyone know where l can get these from as a spare and secondly.......does anyone have any knocking around that they fancy selling to me TODAY!?

The part number on the seal is :- 20 487246 if that helps anyone.

Cheers for any help anyone can offer... :(:(:(

For you to have punctured the piston seal the dust seal must have either been off or you have initially gone through this first.
The dust seal sits on the out side of the piston and the inside of the caliper.

To prove you haven't damaged your piston seal start your car, fully depress your brake pedal for 30 seconds, if this stay solid and doesn't move your piston seals are good.
If you constantly have to chase the pedal to the floor you got problems

You might be right then - from what you've just said, it sounds like its the dust seal.
Is there a possible way to repair it then, with it just being a dust seal, or is it simply a replacement job?
