Play in Turbo shaft... in and out

Turbo on my car is pretty new only a few thou miles from seat a genuine KKK, but noticed even when it was new out the box it had some in and out play/movement. is this just the norm on these turbos does anybody else have this? still has the play in it now and its basically brand new.. one that was on the car with around 80 thou on had around the same amount of in and out play. i know your allowed up and down along as it doesnt touch the housing but heard in and out isnt good but its like this from brand new..

any one else found this or know any more info? Thanks

I dont know, but I am interested to find out though.....initially does not sound right but someone prove me wrong

BUMP PLEASE... Alot of people might know the answer to this and if anybody has got any information id imagaine engine specialists maybe backdraft motorsport or anybody who has replaced there turbo, or removed the TIP and felt the in and out play? would like to find out as if it isnt meant to have play im sending it back to seat.

I think what you are refering to is end float. Don't know how much you're supposed to have though (if any). Might be worth getting in touch with a turbo specialist, try http://www.turbocentreuk.co.uk/
