Has anybody successfully Plasti-diped a Rear boot badge on these ?

I’m wondering what my options are for getting rid of the Copper Badging when I get my new car (several months away still).

As I’m going Nevada White I’m thinking of Black badges front and back, and thought of Plasti-dip as a quick and cheap method of doing it.
However as the boot badge acts as the boot opener also eg lots of touching , will Plastidip be hardwearing enough to withstand this ?

What would the other options be and likely expense ??

Any thoughts welcomed cheers

Plastidip has mixed reviews; I believe that the stuff you get from US is different (more durable) to that in UK/EU.

There are black replacement options available as there is a black edition available in EU markets. The non-OEM ones are c.€80 each, but the front badge appears larger than previous generation Mk3.

I had a quote to wrap mine gloss black for £30-40 as I thought that the badges would look awful; however after 3 months, I can genuinely say I don’t mind them too much. I know looks are subjective, but the copper badges look better on the white, silver, grey cars that I’ve seen in the flesh.

@Slickric21..... purchased my black gloss boot badge from a German site called rbstyling.com I'll let you decide on that one as they are expensive but look the mutts nutts. As for the front badge,I purchased some gloss black vinyl wrap from flea bay and wrapped the badge myself. Ok it took me a couple of goes but looks good, even put a piece over the red on the front Cupra flag.

Cool I will check out RB Styling.com

I may just order some new badges from them front + back see if I can get the dealer to fit them for me when they receive the car.

Not sure on Gloss or Matt Black though as to which would be the better fit for the car without actually having it first. Hmmmm

Cheers for the info gents !!

The Cupra lettering is gloss black, and gloss black would be the colour that I’d go for an OEM look.

Also, be careful to measure the front badge as the size has increased.

Front badge hasn’t changed since the facelift.

They have both the pre facelift and post facelift listed.

For me Rear has to be gloss black, Front looks good both ways.

That’s good to know - couldn’t see FL version listed when looking previously.

Just see a massive difference in size when the two Leons are parked on the drive.

Yeah worth pointing out on that site, keep it in German. The rear boot badge I wanted dissappeared when I changed it to English. I even put it in my basket then changed to English and it disappeared again.

So run the site in German and let chrome translate the site for you instead :)
