Am I being a melon or are these plastic rivets a bit of nightmare to get off (above the grill)?

Am trying to fit the honeycombe and am stuck at hurdle 1... doesn't say much!

Thanks

Try the search option, it's been quite well documented about 3 months ago. ................

you think they are bad wait till u try to take the front grille off absolute nightmare
i was dropping the car to the dealers for a couple of other issues so i got them to fit that and side chrome air vents worth it for 40euro saves alot of hassle because i was sure to break something any way they are like little wall plugs the top piece
fits into the plug which pushes it outwards and tightens it you have to pop the top piece out first and the plug comes out easy but be carefull not to do any damage good luck

Spray them with something like WD40, and then use a small screwdriver between the top and bottom halfs of the clip, you can see a small gap in the picture above. Slide the top half up so that it is almost out of the bottom half, and then lift out the bottom half taking the top half with it.

The top half spreads the bottom half (similar to a raw plug you would use in a brick wall) so won't come out as one piece.

The 2 side clips that hold the grille on are utter swines to unclip, best to remove the 4 large torx screws from the top of the grill, then lever 1 open with a long flat bladed screwdriver, then pull and pray hard, the grille should come out....
