Hi all,

Been a while, can anyone shed some light on a few things for me?

The Pioneer AVH-X3500DAB

Does it interface with the steering wheel controls of a 58 leon cupra ?

If I don't want to use the parrot blue tooth can I continue using the inbuilt blue tooth that shows on the instrument cluster? or will it do both?

Been putting off an upgrade for ages as I cant get a straight answer anywhere, but this is a nice looking deal (but I've just noticed the link is missing, slap my wrists I must have broken a rule).

HELP......

the steering wheel controls will still of you get the right adaptor, try connect2, see the sticky for fitting stereo guide... as for the Bluetooth, I think the Bluetooth is a separate module so it should still work, and should still display on the instrument cluster, just disable the Bluetooth on the Pioneer.

The link (that I cant post) says steering wheel controls compatible, so god knows what i might get in the box.

Thanks for you help, do you know if anyone here ever fitted one?

The surround trim looks like its too thick, you might have to go to a stereo shop, ask for a universal double din mount, as them if you can have a look at the surround trim facia. they will show you a couple of different sizes, try the one that will fit your silver facia. I had the same problem the unit fitted the SEAT facia perfectly, but the black surround trim was too thick that came with the stereo. Let meknow how you get on and if I can be of any further help.

Hi all, so here's the thing, I finally got round to installing the Pioneer and after 5/6 hours it all powered up nicely and the sub is a pleasant boost for its size and 75% of the steering wheel controls work.

However there is one big problem which i suspected as I unplugged the factory unit.

My phone is bluetoothed to the car, the car is no longer connected to the stereo via the blue and green plugs, I now have no sound when I make a call.

I'm going to guess there is nothing available to make this work again?? I know I can use the Bluetooth on the new Pioneer but that requires installing another microphone and never being able to use the display on the instrument cluster again?

or have I missed something?

You can not use the factory Bluetooth with the aftermarket unit, sorry.
Fitting the Pioneer microphone is an easier option than trying to get the factory Bluetooth working, and the sound quality is pretty good on the Pioneer Bluetooth. I have my mic just below the head unit, where the usb/aux input is, and it works fine.
