I have good and bad dealings with this dealership. Firstly I must praise their sales, we were looking for a biggger car last year and settled for a 2007 Seat Altea XL with very low milage. The first weekend the salesman called to check if we were happy with it and that there were no problems, the same again a month later.

Then the bad weather started, the inside of the windscreen froze, the drivers mat was soaked. Thinking it could have been me wetting it with my boots, I kept and eye on it for a week. The mat just got wetter and wetter, condensation and ice even worse.

I phoned the salesman who put me through to the bodyshop, they had never heard of this problem on an Altea before, however, if I took it up, they would have a 'quick' look. Two hours later I asked them what was happenning ( their reception area is very cold, especially in the winter!) I was told that I could take my car back and as I needed a courtesy car, the earliest they could take it in was a week later as they needed it for a day because even after 2 hours they had no idea what the fault was. Things were about to get worse, I turned up, they couldn't find me on their 'sheet', then said I would be down on a different one as it was for the bodyshop. When they found me on their list, they went to get the courtesy car...bear in mind that I had to wait for my car to go in for a week as I needed a car... I got in the courtesy car and was dropping another person off in Andover, I looked at it and thought, don't make a fuss, not when soemone is with you, however, the car was disgusting, struggled to get into gear, was filthy on the outside and in, including dog hairs all over the seats. Not what I would call good service. To make matters worse, when I picked up my car, none of the paper work was ready, I got a mumbled explanation of the work with 'the paper work will be in the post' and my car was wet inside with marks all over the seats, but I was glad to have her back. Two weeks later I had to chase them for the paper work which they 'forgot' to send out. the car is still under warrenty at the moment and I am will be taking it to another dealer to sort out after looking through these reviews. It is sad as the pre sales is fab, the workshop and aftercare......................don't go there.

Sorry to here about your bad experiances, but I have to say that Joel and Paul in service have been fantastic to me and the wife so far.

Yes the courtesy cars are not the latest models, but who can blame them, they are a small family run delaership. If you have problems then speak to them and i'm sure they will rectify them.

I know that Joel and Paul are aware of the high standards that I expect and I therefore get a better service from them than I have had from many other big/flashy dealerships.

Don't write them off without talking to them about the issues you have had. They can only react to your critisism if you tell them about it.

Hi I am glad that you and your wife have had good service so far. Firstly I have to say that I always purchase cars from family run businesses, I prefered the service I used to get. Pinchbecks are not so small and have been in the business for many moons and although I was advised not to go there, I still did as I always give someone a chance myself.

I have to say that I was just completley taken aback with the vehicle they gave me, with no direction on it, just heres the keys it's parked out the front! If I hadn't turned around and gone back, I would not have learnt that a) it was petrol and b) where the opener was for the cap, completley different to my car.

I felt that Paul did not want to elaborate or get in a discussion about the car and also that I was in an impossible situation. I am unable to walk any distance due to a disablility so needed transport to get on with everyday tasks, unfortunatly, the car I was given, restricted me too.

At the end of the day though, is it too much to expect a car that is clean and tidy, is it also too much to expect polite and courteous service at all times?
