Picked up my altea sport

So ive bought a 2005 Altea 2.0Tdi DSG sport, after hunting for what seems like ages for the right colour and spec i finally got a Platinum grey DSG one with parking sensors and 17 inch alloys, wanted bluetooth as well but hey never mind!

Im going from a chipped leon cupra 20vT so although it's not as fast it is a good compromise of performance and economy. Getting used to the gearbox no problem although probably won't use manual mode as much as i would with paddles, spoils the experience a bit.

My first impressions of the car are good, no problems with visibility and i love the seats, jury is out on the dash, would prefer if the centre console was angled down a bit more but it's far from awful. My one main gripe is with the dials, the speedo seems very hard to read, why so many numbers and odd spacing! Are the fr dials the same, would consider a swap?

The only other thing i can find fault with is the road noise, seems very loud on poor surfaces, fine on good roads, tyres are michelin pilot sports with 3/4 tread.

All in all very impressed and hope i get years of good use from it, already thinking of mods, list is:

Rear spoiler
Mud flaps
Chrome boot strip
Remap (unsure of the dsg though)
Rear sliding seats (bits are already ordered!)

Thats a good buy there. I like the colour and a few subtile mods would compliment it quite nicely.
Road noise is bad on mine, but only since I replaced the tyres, but I would have thought the michelin pilot sports were decent tyres?

Looks good :)
Mind if I ask how much it cost you ?

Also - I guess from your post it's possible to convert to sliding rear seats - I presume this allows you to choose between boot space & rear seat space ?
What sort of parts are needed to do this ?

Car cost me 10500, probably paid over the odds but was the spec i was after and it wasn't far from me.

Sliding seats now fitted, make a huge difference to our needs, parts cost 210 quid from vw.

I'm just getting ideas of what might be in my budget when I look to change next year - the spec you've got is similar to what I'd be looking for, which gives me some confidence that I'll be able to afford one :)

It looks remarkably similar to mine Lewis and I had the tail pipe done but i don't clean it often mind you.... on the speedo you use cruise control in those 30 / 40 limit areas to pass all those cameras, lurking policemen and spy vehicles.
