I went to the garage last nite and i expected my flap to be open as usual as it just works with my central locking but it was locked shut, I tried the central locking a few times and nothing happened it was still shut, so i prized it open abit and bent the thin metal lug round that is attatched to the flap itself so u could put petrol in.

Does anyone know how i can access it to have a look at it? and how much a new solonoid is?

Thanks for listening

In through the boot, right hand side, you can manually pull the solenoid, bit of string there. common issue, I had the AA out to do mine, he said its quite common.

Yeah i know this to be true, it's happened twice to me and the crappy bit of string has broken each time. [:@]

Yeah remove the carpet, it's only held in place with a few plastic plugs. There is a small metal rod that you can remove which is what locks the cap into place, but it's hard to get a look at what is going on to be able to suss out what it is that's actually causing the problem, mine just seemed to cease up, so I took the metal rod out and left it I can't be arsed messing all the time. It's been more trouble than it's worth.

I'm not 100% certain if it unscrews or just pulls out, I think it just pulls out, well it did for me anyway ;) try and unscrew first, then if that fails just start pulling and twisting it seems to work it's way loose. I know what you mean though it is good for taking any unwanted skin from your knuckles or any wanted skin for that matter.
