Hi,

I've just ordered a new Black TFSI from Perrys of Aylesbury. They're a Seat main dealer so I was pleasently surprised when they were offering £1,250 off the list price.

I did consider using a broker, but the main dealers offered a lot better p/ex values on my old car which made the dealer route a better deal. I believe they still have at least a couple of Silver T FSI left.

Can't wait to pick the new car up in a week or so.

(If you haggle you can squeeze a little more than the advertised discount ;) )

As I said in the previous thread I got a £1,894 discount on a brand new, unregistered metallic Black TFSi with space saver (list £16,355, price to me £14,461). I sold my old Bora to the local VW dealer for £100 more than the Seat dealer was willing to pay part/ex.

Best local deal was 8.5k for my Bora, 15.3k for the Seat. Cost to change £6.8k.
Cost to change selling to VW (8.6k) and buying from DTD was £5.85k.

When you realise that all a broker does is 'introduce' you to a dealer and you know the dealer can (a) sell at this price and make a profit and (b) still give the broker a kickback. It makes the local dealer negotiations look stupid.:censored:

I would normally agree but the dealer I chose was going to resell my car themselves. The p/ex value was nearly a grand better than the brokers I tried offered me, so the deal was better at the main dealers.

however, if you're after a 2.0 TDI the dealers sem to be offering b*gger all off them.

Rather spookily I've just ordered a black TFSI with space saver, must be something in the air... Just out of interest were you tempted to wait for the Cupra?

The new Leon comes with so much as standard the only obvious ommision is the spare. I did consider the auto wash/wipe as I've found it useful on our Boras but not worth £175.

No, not interested in the Cupra. A TFSi with a map will go just as quick without saying (a) boy racer, (b) steal me

Perrys SEAT in Aylesbury are VERY good....I bought my new Seat Leon FR TDI from them - I managed to get the price down from £18200 to £16200 when NEW....that is £2000 discount!!

It has a 18" alloys, emotion red, bluetooth etc...

Very pleased with the car with no problems - still have it for 2 years now!

I am surprised that you bought new ? especially with the high depreciation for the first year? i bought my cupra 4 months old and saved 6k over list price and that was with the extras i wanted , but then again i suppose you are buying a face lifted model?
