Received a letter today from Seat UK informing me that Pentagon Oldham are no longer authorised dealers or authorised repairers. Shame, I've used them for 2 Leon's and had no problems. Perrys Bolton (where the MK4 came from) I didn't rate, especially when the infotainment needed updating for the reset issue and Lookers Stockport (well Lookers...?). I could go further afield (Warrington/Wigan) but if you have had a great experience at the nearer two please share.

Pentagon Seat have closed their Oldham dealership, seemingly without prior notice. I found out when I called round there, to find it boarded up. I have been using them for years and bought a new Arona there in March. I haven’t had a letter so I called Seat customer services. They informed me that Pentagon Seat Huddersfield is now their nearest dealership. That's a 20 mile drive for me.
I'm disappointed, the staff and service at Oldham were excellent.

I part exed my 2019 Arona FR for a Ibiza Fr january 2023 at Lookers in Manchester. When I collecetd the car I was told the dealership was shutting down. As It turned out I was not happy with the car, it had high milage and a few problems, I regretted buying it. They promised me that they would still be able to service my car at Stockport with a collection service, that turnrd out to be fib and they would not do while I wait either, not very helpfull, customer for life my arse. So with only 18 months in on my pcp I went to Johnsons Seat Wigan, they were more than helpfull. I now own a Arona FR Sport 21 plate, old shape, I prefer the fog lights at the bottom anyway. It had a few issues, when they serviced the car they tried to do a update to the system and it crashed, they had to order a new chip for it which delayed my collection by two days, but more than happy with the car now. Still has the famous Seat problem it changes radio stations now and then which my Ibiza did too. Definately a Seat nut, 2x Leons, 2x Ibizas FR's, 2x Arona Fr's now. Pity about Pentagon Seat I was considering using them, nearest dealer to me, or they were, I do not like Perrys at Bolton, which is the nearest dealer to me either, I have had two bad experiences with them sales and service.
Chris.

Mmmm thanks Chris, speaks volumes. I remember when buying the MK 3.5 FR (which came from IMG at Warrington) I went to Lookers Manchester as its only about 1.5 miles from where I live. Snotty (kid) salesman asked what I wanted and gave me the almost retail price. Didn't ask about part ex price just stated "that's the price for the car"! Needless to say I didn't buy and even more insulting sent me a video couple of days later asking if I'd changed my mind. I did...I went to Warrington. So it looks like further afield in future. Cheers.

I had my VW serviced this week. The dealer I use also has Audi and Seat franchises on the same site - or they did when my car was serviced last year. I noticed this week that sadly they no longer seem to be a Seat dealer, and that the Seat part of part of their site has been turned over to their non-VAG used car operation - presumably to sell non-VAG vehicles the take in as part exchanges against an Audi or VW.

Sad times………….😕.
