Who sells these so I can do a swap from my PD130 airbox. Need to start modding now and this is as good a place as any to start is it not?

Cheers

Do you mean the air intake? The PD160 Air intake is basically larger to let more air in, then a green panel filter will help it breath.

The PD160 Air intake can be purchased at any Seat dealer, and a green cotton air filter can be purchased at any garage in the know :p aka JBS, Awesome etc.

Your closest would probs be JBS in chesterfield looking at your area.

It's not the airbox you need, it's the inlet pipe.
Quick search will reveal the part numbers, masses of threads on this over the last few years. :) Available from you friendly local dealer, or any other SEAT dealer for that matter!

So is the 130 and 160 airbox the same then.
Whats all the threads I have read about smoothing the 130 box out to make it like a 160 box???
Or is this just the inlet??

There is a restrictor in the slam panel bit of the inlet trumpet which can be drilled out to widen the inlet further once you have fitted the 160 pipework.
Let's more air and debris through to the airbox.

People have said it will help, I was hoping Seat was all techie when they designed it (well VW) and all them bumps etc helped the air flow better, but I doubt it.

As mentioned, a PD160 Air intake and green cotton air filter will help the car breath better.

Have you got one on yours, and if so, what difference did it make, if any??

I did have yes, personally I noticed slight difference in revs, seemed to picked up better at low rpm... but not much

Well, I would say C-C is a very good map as ive had it on for circa 37,000 miles with no clutch slip :D

The Custom-Code remaps are very smooth and as Mark (T.Spark) 36K and no problems with clutches!

BHP will go up to 170-175 and torque to 270-280lb/ft

If you give JBS a call they might be able to get you in before Santa Pod
