Got a few questions as im on the look out for a cupra tdi...

Is there much difference from a standard Cupra TDI & a remapped 130 in terms of performance (not handling).

Is there much difference from a remapped cupra tdi & remapped 130 ?

I have just sold my remapped fabia vrs by the way and have owned a cupra tdi but that was back in july 04 and cant really remember !

Cheers...for info i dont need to know the difference in the engines just outright acceleration please .

Standard cupra tdi is quicker than standard 130, more power, more grunt.

Remapped 160 is quicker than remapped 130, more power, more grunt.

The cupra is 7 secs to 60, 130 is 9 secs to 60, quicker but by not alot when remapped, down to driver...

isnt the traction much better in the cupra then normal 130s..remapped 130s wheelspin all over the show .another question then does the cupra handle the power better than the remapped 130s..in terms of traction ?

Cupra has ESP TCS and ABS 130 only has TCS and ABS

Depnds on tyres really mate, mine has no issues with wheelspin, unless its wet and i'm in a hurry!

A remapped 130 might have a bit more power and might beat a 160 in a short straight line race but the 160 would still be the better handling/looking car with better brakes plus with it`s large FMIC it would be able to hold it`s power when the engine gets hot unlike the 130 with the small SMIC which suffers from heat soak. So on a track/road race a 160 would still beat a remapped 130.

Probably right there mike, have to spend a bit more money getting a 130 to beat the 160, FMIC, Brakes, Suspension, Remap etc etc
