Passenger side creak on/off throttle

I found this thread:

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=86362&highlight=door+creak

relating to a creak from the passenger side of the car around the door area when accelerating, lifting off the throttle and braking at low speed. Probably happens at all speeds, but can't be heard once above a certain mph.

Anyway, there was no real solution found in this thread and my car has been doing this quite badly for a while, but seems to have got worse in the last week or two.
It's hard to describe, but sounds like parts moving against each other making a slight knocking creaking sound.
I found a Leon thread that described the same thing and it was solved by changing the lock mechanism in that door.
I had my passenger door glass replaced after some oik broke into my car earlier this year and I am wondering when I had the door panels removed to hoover out the glass whether they haven't bolted the lock up securely enough leading to a slight movement and 'creak'.

Any ideas......anyone had this problem and solved it? It is doing my noggin' in. I am intending to get the other half to drive me round the block at the weekend while I 'interrogate' the passenger side of the car and do some fault finding. Obviously some help in advance would be much appreciated!

i also had a thread about this:

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=134354&highlight=noise

although it probably wont be much help as no conclusion was reached.

1st thing to check i think is that its not the seatbelt knocking off the plastic trim?

i've read other posts on this and one thing that seems to be consistent with people complaining about this is that it seems to be related in some way to temperature. a lot of people mention the problem is there in winter but goes away in summer. i seem to be having the opposite problem as it was really bad during the hotter months, but now its gettin colder its not as regular or as loud. im not very technically / mechanically minded but my ridiculous theory is that perhaps something in that area is expanding or contracting with temperature? like i said, its probably a ridiculous theory but its all i have got! as far as im concerned everything still functions ok so i've learned just to live with the noise and my mad theory until something breaks or until someone identifies the proper cause!

Cheers for the reply.
Mine has been getting worse as it has been getting cooler, so I suspect there is some temperature variation there.
Might get it to a garage in a couple of weeks if I can't get it sorted. It's creaking over bumps, round corners, under acceleration, braking etc. It's well annoying, but I think it is only due to an adjustment of something or another.

Pretty sure it's not the seatbelt hitting the trim, but will check on that in the morning.
Will update if I find a cure!
