Passenger seat wont flop forwards

(Have you ever tried searching for "seat" on here? )

If i lift the passenger seat lever to get into the back it wont release. There must be 2 catches cos the one on the side near the door releases but the inner one doesnt. Any ideas?

Has happend to my Cupra PD and the Audi mate. Toke it back to the dealers to get fixed since under warrenty so not much help sorry.

i had this in my FR, took it to the stealers, and they told me the mechinism inside had broken, so they ordered me a whole new rear of the seat in, changed it under warranty, but turns out the seat was fine. it was the fact that my money had fell out my pocket and jammed the mechinism at the side of the seat, so it wouldnt work.

i had this in my FR, took it to the stealers, and they told me the mechinism inside had broken, so they ordered me a whole new rear of the seat in, changed it under warranty, but turns out the seat was fine. it was the fact that my money had fell out my pocket and jammed the mechinism at the side of the seat, so it wouldnt work.

So it might be my £12 Lidl seat covers* doing it then? I'll remove them and see if that sorts it.


(*I get mucky at work and didnt want to ruin the seats underneath)

I have warrenty on my car thanks Dan, well some of it anyway. I did manage to blag a new engine cover when mine went and melted at the back near the turbo back along, i think i was pushing my luck a bit there though.

lol never know might find some lost tresure or something down there. God knows what I would find in the back of mine. And melted it christ bet that took some doing

apparently a common fault according to my local dealer, take it back if it isnt your race spec covers or the queens head jaming it

Well I dont deal in coins normally you dont get much for them lol

I had another look and its def. not the covers so thats another thing it needs to go in for.

will just be the release mechanism as said before take it to the dealers they will take your seat apart and replace or fix the problem

That happened to my old car as well. Ended up getting the Access Plus mechanism fitted though, so that made up for losing my 50p piece.
