Passenger Door Potential Water Leak

Maybe someone else has had this problem?

Water is getting in somewhere around the top of the passenger door outside at the rubber seal above the window, it gets inside onto the velvety part that goes around the inside of the door. This happens when it rains or when I jet wash it (its worse when I jet wash it). The rubber seal certainly seems to attach itself to the metal ok when the door is closed - any ideas ppl?

Trip to the dealer on the way I think, although I am reluctant to do so since my last service cost me a chipped alloy and broken glovebox (which rattles all the time now) [:@] nice eh and they denied it of course.

Thanks in advance.

tried search could not find anything specific to my problem - hence my post.

If you got a link to a thread I have missed, stick it here.

thanks

I know its a long while back now, but did you ever get this sorted. I'm having this exact problem at the moment, not good being dripped on when you're driving, and all I can find is info on leaks into the footwell.

where is the water pooling? if the pollen fliter isnt replaced correctly the water just pours into the car. also i had to clean the rubbers around the door and free of mud as water pooled in the door wells.
hope this helps

The water is actually coming in at the top just above the windscreen on the soft velvety bit. It then drips onto my arm while driving. If the cars parked up it drips down onto my seat. Not so good when you have to get in and sit there.
