Is there somebody who has an exact list for what parts i need to do a fmic conversion from a FR tdi130 to a cupra D fmic?
Are there some parts from the fr that can be re-used or do i have to replace every single part?

Do a search mate, i think cpufreak fitted the 1st FMIC on his PD130. He has a post with pictures and part numbers. I've also got a diagram at home which has all the part nos on it. I can post it later if you want??

I know all of that.I also have ETOS.
I know most of the parts I need but i think there are some from the 130IC that you can re-use but i'm not sure.

Nope You need it all, you could bin the two pipes that run from the turbo along the sump, but i ordered those anyway as was too risky not too as the angle between the side and front seemed different.

Don't order the jubilee clips from seat as they are £4.84 each!!

you need all the top hoses, even the one to the inlet manifold is diferent to the pd 130.

But you can order but you'll be hanging on for ages, mines been on back order for 4 weeks with no sign yet, i do have a ful parts list with parts numbers somewhere as got it off Ben. CPU Freak was one of the first to do the pd 130 conversion but not the first, theres a guy in maidstonewho done his as soon as the cupra was released back in 2004, Yellow sport tdi with super t's, he had ordered his before the dealer had even got a cupra tdi in. think i was the first to do the petrol one though.

Come to think of it, why are you guys going for the Seat version rather than the Forge? Speaking from experience, the one from Forge works extremely well and the only disadvantage is you're not using OE parts anymore, but the plus side is it costs less.

Cos the SEAT one is a lot better, trust me on that, i fitted the forge one and took it straight off for a refund. Very restrictive, badly mounted and too many rubbing pipes.

OE is bigger, developed to fit better, and a lot less restrictive. I have had both so can make that comparison.

No offence forge.

Thx for the info ANT...i really appreciate it [B)] ;)

I want the cupra fmic because of the OEM look + it's bigger and fits better.

ok I had a 1.8T FR ibiza to which i fitted the cupra 1.8T Front mount ( the same intercooler as the tdi has bar the pipes)

Then when i bought the tdi i tried the forge on my car but got rid of it due to quality issue.

Now i have ordered the Cupra tdi one for my fr tdi

Get me now

so you have tried them both just not on the same car, or infact the same type of engine in two different cars. Is this a fair test? petrol vs diesel.

or am i still reading this wrong?

when you have fitted the same amount of front mounts as me you can argue my point, fact is i am pretty sure i am the only one who has tried both so can comment.

The difference between the 1.8t and tdi front mount on the cupras are literally the top pipes as the inlet manifold is at the rear of the engine on the tdi as apposed to front on the petrol, oh and the petrol uses jubilee clips to fit the hoses together and the tdi uses the hose connectors.

the rest of it is the same, ie the intercooler, the brackets, the hoses that run along the bumper including the map sensor pipe.

so yep it is fair

i have heard that the seat sport one is large height and width but is a bit on the thin side compared to the forge one but either one has to be better than the original!!!! and spaniels why have you got a pic of james on your sig!
