Part Number Required for Door Trim Strips

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has a part number for the drivers side door trim strip (you know, theblack strip on the outside of the door, I don't know the technical name for it).

Model is a 2002 MK4 3 DOOR
The old one decided to fall off on a motorway, so it was impossible to retrieve it.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but is there anything behind the sidestrips i.e. holes, guides etc.

I'm thinking of taking mine off.

There is just holes, and there are corresponding guides on the strip itself.
They are not screwed on from the inside or anything like that, they're held on with a strip of really strong doube sided tape.
When putting them back on (if you are that is) make sure to use a strong adhesive, and don drive it until you're sure its on proper (hence why I need a new one!!!)

Damn, I knew they were held on by the double sided tape but didn't expect anything behind them.

My intentions were to remove them permanently
