Part Number cross checking

Is there a program that can search for part numbers on all VAG cars, or a website would be more ideal. I figure that if there was it would be easy to cross reference parts from one car to another eg: polo to ibiza etc... im thinking mk2 93+
just want to ckeck a couple of parts

as far as i know only the polo saloon shares the same floor pan as the ibiza/cordoba and the caddy/inca van .

the rul of thumb is if it is a same part generally it will be designated teh same part number - clever these germans eh

BUT

there are a few parts that will fit others that are not along those lines

EG
polo chrome door handles to ibiza
beetle sunglasses holder
W8 interior light

these are a more suck'n'see or discovered type

any numbers you wanna check just ask ill run it through all the VAG parts systems - failing that there was an online version a while back

try a search for ELSA or ETKA

cool ill have a search... the part number im looking at is for a gearbox...
085.301.103-H
the guy bought it for a 1995 seat ibiza 1.4 but sold the car first...? so whether it actually didnt fit or not i dont know ive got an ABD engine code rest of the info the same.

that part number is for the actual main gearbox casing

only lists for golf/polo by the looks

look for a smooth section that lists the gearbox code itself should be stamped in rather than a moulded part
