Even better.. I did a search and found only one thread which wasnt that useful. Has anyone installed this system or would i be better off with the round sensors?

There was a discussion on this on the Volvo forum, install is based on number plate height, the sensors have to be at a certain height and angle to work. I am sure this will be in the instructions though?

Fitted simular to my LC (and my Dad's) nearly 3 years ago and no problems so far. Little ECU bolted into spare wheel well with the buzzer under the rear seat. had to drill two small holes in the rear bumper to hold the numberplate holder but thats all..

I bought one from Towtek in Ipswich (who were fitting a towbar to our other car) for £50
It's easy to fit. Just needs one hole behind the number plate.
The biggest hassle was finding the reversing light wire. There's a multiway connector behind the trim on the left side. I tracked down the correct colour and spliced in the power for the Meta system with a Scotchlok connector.
for £50 and an hour's work it's excellent.
I'm surprised how wide the beam is
I left the settings at the factory default. That means that when the tone goes solid, there's about a foot of space behind the car - just enough to open the tailgate
