Hi All

Im after a bit of help if possible, my 2014 FR has a fault with the parking sensors. When you start the car you just get a loud beep to tell you there is a fault, and then a triangle on the parking sensor screen when you try to use it.

I’ve taken it to seat, where they have said it is the front speaker that is faulty and that is why its stopped working. I have been qouted £218 to fix this, now ive looked and a speaker is about £15, does anyone know how easy this is to replace yourself? Or where it is located.

Thanks to anyone that can help

James

The speaker removal is in the 'Communication' manual; however, I cannot find any information specific to how the parking sensors operate via the speakers...

Have a look at the link provided by theoldboy.
The front parking sensor buzzer removal is in the 'Electrical System' manual, D3E804F82D6-Electrical_system.pdf, on page 186.

Thanks guys, I was checking all those manuals yesterday and getting nowhere.

I’m surprised the buzzer would stop it working completely, I would unsustained it obviously not making a noise but no display at all on the screen for the front bar a triangle.

I asked the dealership and was met with the reply of “it’s all linked in together”
