Parcel Shelf

My wife did a car boot sale at the weekend, I then put the car back together, ie seats and parcel shelf, and then she loaded some excess stuff yesterday ready for charity shop delivery. Noticed parcel shelf not sitting properly, so decided to investigate. It was then I noticed that the bit that screws to the parcel shelf has broken off leaving a disguised hole in the parcel shelf. Looks like the parcel shelf was pushed down or not seated correctly. Still works but obviously not correctly.

Therefore questions.

Warranty job or not ??

How much is a replacement ??

Is the shelf same as any other VAG group car ??

I had mine changed with the same fault last week, all under warranty ,and no issues,

the only problem was Seat has discontinued the second storage tray lock on the shelf so you it doesnt lock on the new ones.

Well got the result I wanted and the warranty replacement parcel shelf is now ready for collection.

Picked up new parcel shelf yesterday and was exactly the same as the exisitng one, was expecting not to be able to use secondary shelf that clips below as someone else had a warranty calim and they didn't get the same shelf.

Looks like SEAT are having a few warranty issues with these as there was another one awaiting collection whilst I was there.
