Done quick search, but haven't found the info I want.

I'm going to colour code the black plastic strips along the doors and around the bumpers of my 2001 LCT.

I'll be doing it myself and wanted to know that after rubbing it down, do I need any special plastic primer or do I just use regular primer, paint and laquer?

Thankyou!

suppose it might be ok to do it like he has.

I must admit, I've never looked on a PC website for car advise before!

It might be too late, but I believe body shops put a plasticiser in the paint for bumpers and plastic trim as the paint will need to retain a degree of flexibility or it will flake off. I would never DIY paint it looks pants, get some quotes from some body shops, if you are prepared to remove and refit it might not be as much as you think.
