Paint work Advice

[TINCAN]

Some stupid kids through an egg at my boot and right on the back is now a round shape the size of an egg, spider web effect on the paint. It looks cracked about 1 inch across and lots of small 'spider web' marks..........

Any ideas how to sort this tried colour t cut type stuff but no good. Also anybody near MK area that does professional full body detailing..... asked before but lost the info.

ill have to get some mate not had camera as mrs took it lol.... shes back tomorrow will grab some then..... it does actually look like a spider web though, my finger nail can feel each line too..

Sounds like a PC may be in order, failing that its going to have to be a respray

The shell often creates very fine deep marks on impact and in most cases it needs a repaint as they don't polish out.

bloody gits........ that will cost me a small fortune to get sprayed out.....

sounds like the paints been stressed so you wont be able to polish it out it would need a re-spray

Chipsaway could probably mask off the area and repair the damage but the paint may fade over time...

Depends on how much you can afford to be honest. I would expect a boot respray to cost in the region of £250 - £300 but that should be a top notch job though!

ouch ! ........ might see what i can do with a touch up pen and then polish out a few times........ at least ifs its cack i can then just pay for the respray.

I'd agree that from what you've described its going to need paint, not polishing. Sorry Tincan, hope the little sods get run over on the way to the chav shop.
