Paint help please

I have a red Ibiza Gti. As we all know red paint tens to fade. I was just wondering if using T-cut or something similar will help to bring the paint back up to scratch. Are there any other steps I'd have to take?

there is a guy on here who owns / works for prestige polish in the detailing section.

he's helped me out before with body work / paint questions.....i'd give me a shout mate.
