paint code query

my service book states paint code ly3g, and i am looking for touch up paint to do a few spots that need doing

went into halfords and it only had flash red for ibiza 98 onwards and code was p3g i think it was

anyway i have a 99 plate mk2, should i contact a local dealer for this or is the halford stuff correct?

Paint code will be on a sticker in the spare wheel well in the boot.

i think the code is ly3g but i will check, is it best to go to the local dealer for this kinda stuff as i am not sure i would trust halfords with the code tbh

Im not sure mate, just make sure what you get is the correct code

well code in book and in spare wheel compartment say LY3D, which is not the code halfords give

think i might pay a visit or give the local seat garage a call
