Paint chip, recommend touch up paint?

Hello,

I was wiping some bird muck off my bonnet today and noticed a stone chip. It may have been there for years or maybe new, I've no idea. It looks like it's gone through to the metal (it's a grey metallic colour). Is this likely to rust? And can I just dab some touch up paint on it or is there more to it? It's a pretty small chip but just worried it could corrode.

Cheers,
Izo

Find your seat colour code from the sticker inside the boot under the spare wheel (I think) then try and find a official seat touch up kit, I went to eBay and got one. They come with a pen for the colouring and a clear lacquer for protecting the paint after

Yeah I looked at chipex. Handy that they do it with your reg too, no need for a colour code. My colour is Azure Blue if I remember right. I'll give them a go.

Chip ex is by far the best I've used. Oh, & you'll be using it a lot. The paint Seat are currently using chips very easily indeed.

Has the paint changed since 2013? My Leon has virtually no paint chips, without a doubt the lowest number of any car I have owned in similar use/mileage. Its solid white but past solid white cars have been nothing special.

Well I still haven't ordered chipex yet, bit distracted moving house and job. But this morning I noticed one of the chips on my bonnet is rusting slightly. It is very small. Will I get away with just putting chipex on it or should I treat it first? I see Hammerite have an rust removing gel that doesn't remove paint. Might work. Anybody used it?

Cheers,

I have a small chip on the bottom lip of my front bumper, car is nevada white and its through to a dark grey/black colour. I was looking at getting the halfords touch up kit for audi's (same colour code as my leon) has anyone had previous experience with halfords kit before or would you recommend chip ex more?

Had the biggest challenge for chipex ever. Reversed the car into my driveway wall (long story I should of been more patient wasn't my day. Sorry car!) 380 for a repair. Pretty awful damage. Got myself some chipex and it's not perfect but with some more love it certainly keeps the eye away from it for the winter. Or until I decide what I want to do with it. If only I could pull the dent out.
With some more coats it may look better. Camera doesnt do it justice.

Yeah I thought that too. Chips away was 300. It's the trim repair that's the real cost I believe cos it's a difficult repair. The more expensive quote was from a guy I've used before and his work was flawless. Don't think I'll pay it tho. For as much as I love my Leon and being a weekend detailer it just ain't worth it. Would rather save the money to buy my weekend car.
