Right, I have been used to cleaning black second hand cars up until now so my first clean when taking the car on has always been
Wash with strong APC
Clay
Wash with Dodo Juice Born To Be Mild (Two bucket method)
Wax (Dodo Juice Blue Velvet)
Buff to high shine
Top up with QD's after normal washes (Now using Dodo Juice Supernatural Sealant)
(I have only ever once used a polish - Meguires Paint Clean and I made a right mess with it and it was so much hard work buffing it off that I decided to never use it again - I may have applied far too thick of a layer to be fair.)
But next month I am taking delivery of a spanking new Black Leon FR and am wondering whe the best routine would be to start now that I have a 'fresh start' so to speak with the paintwork.
I don't think it will need claying for a while and I would hope if I keep on top of the waxing maybe never while I own it (3 year lease) but should I really start using a polish on my big cleans? (I have my eye on DJ Lime Prime if this is the case) Also I will be buying a snow foam lance before the car arrives ready for its first wash.
Any help would be appreciated.
