Overheating

I have a Seat alhambra 04 plate.The temperature gauge is reading overheating and i have
no heating.Head gasket and water pump are ok.A new thermpstat has also been fitted and system flushed out.Engine doesn't seem to be overheating either.Any ideas what could be wrong anybody?

Try checking fuses and also check your fan switch ?

who checked you water pump and how was it checked? i say so because when it fails you tend to loose your heating and the vehicle will run hot.

if i were you i'd run the car up to temp, remove the plastic battery cover, make sure the coolant is topped up and remove the return hose from the header tank. once this is removed, get a second person to rev the engine.

if water flows through then the water pump is ok
if not it buggered.
