driving home from work last night on m5, after about 20mins of driving my temp guage went up to 120 (111 on my digital guage) and a warning light came on. pulled over on the hard shoulder and let it cool down (the fan did come on) carried on and the same happened.
stopped at hopwood and checked the water level which did look low so topped it up, couldnt see any leaks and the rad pipes did feel hot. also the heaters blew cold air???
the radiator is brand new, last week had a fmic fitted and the guy broke the rad trying to force the ic on. perhaps he didnt bleed the rad or something???
any help would be great as im driving the gf's rover to work at the moment and the guy that fitted ic is shut till next week!:help:

dont think so. maybe an air blockage or something? took the water cap off, gave it a rev and the water boiled over like mad as if there's air in there

take the cap off and give it a little rev.. you should get a good circulation of water back into the tank..
when my water pump went it was similar to this however having the ic fitted does sound a little suspect tot he cause
